Ready, Set, Go

Trees are flowering, saplings are budding, color is
returning to oaks, maples and elms and soon what
was visible as you drove by in your car, will be hidden
once again by innumerable amounts of green leaves.
The forest will reclaim it's secret places in a matter
of mere days.
Amazing how fast nature goes from naked to fully
clothed once spring really kicks in, here on the east
coast.
Everyday another plant begins poking out of the soil
somewhere in my flower beds and I greet each with
a happy heart.
The Taurus in me loves this time of the year, the
renewal, the birds singing me awake, the warmth
of the sun, the smell of grass and even, for a time or
two, mowing the grass.
Outdoor activity increases and so will skating.
Now we ramp up for indoor Nationals.
Hotels have been booked in Omaha, airline tickets
procured, and relay partners decided on.
Outdoor practice is weekly and that race calender
has been set. The first event of the Eastern
Seaboard series out at Trexlertown is May 12th.
I better start eating my Cheerios...
